Visitor statistics

This site counts visits with its own first-party analytics. No cookies, no local storage identifiers, no fingerprinting and no third-party scripts are used.

Each day a visitor is represented by an anonymous code calculated from the connection and browser information together with a secret key and a salt that changes every day. The code cannot be reversed, and visits on different days cannot be linked. Your IP address is used only for that calculation and is never stored.

What is recorded: the pages viewed, which projects and websites were shown on screen, clicks on the contact links, the referring website (domain only), the device type, browser and operating system family, the country, and how long the page was in use.

If your browser sends “Do Not Track” or “Global Privacy Control”, nothing is recorded at all.

Contact form

When you send a message, the name, email address, optional company and message you typed are stored so I can reply. No IP address or browser information is stored with your message.

Portfolio chat

The chat is part of this site — no third-party chat service is used. Opening it stores nothing. When you send your first message, the conversation (your messages, the assistant's answers and my replies, with their times) is stored so I can support you, and a first-party cookie with a random, opaque token is set so the same conversation continues after a refresh, on other pages or when you return. The cookie is only used for the chat (not for analytics or advertising), cannot be read by scripts on the page, and is never placed in the page address. Only a one-way code derived from it is stored with the conversation.

Your browser also keeps a small note that a chat exists and which reply you last saw, so a new reply from me can be shown on the chat button. It stays in your browser and is not sent anywhere.

The assistant answers only with answers I have approved. If you choose “Talk to Omer”, the conversation is marked for me. Conversations can be read only by authorised staff who manage this portfolio. No IP address, precise location or device fingerprint is stored with a conversation, and message text is never sent to the analytics system — only that the chat was opened, a suggested question was used, a conversation started or support was requested. Conversations are kept until I delete them; to have yours deleted, ask in the chat or through the Contact section.

Retention

Detailed visit records are deleted after 13 months; only daily totals are kept after that. Messages are kept until I delete them.
